Men and Policies
Elihu Root
Harvard University Press
In this volume Mr. Root has gathered various addresses and papers dating from the past six years. The first section includes his tributes to distinguished Americans; the second bears the subtitle “Law and Its Administration;” the third part concerns “The War and Readjustment”; the fourth discusses “International Affairs,” especially the League of Nations and the Permanent Court of International Justice. The fact that three impressions of the book have been called for since it was published in November, 1924, indicates Mr. Root’s success in interpreting the mind of America.
